We have few materials for lacing but using corrugated card board was fun for kindergarten. I used my daughter's clay art tool for making holes in the card board and old cardigan yarn for lacing. Once they knew the pattern the result was quick. They also learnt to thread the needle.

Teaching English Alphabets-to beginners
I teach phonics first before the names of the alphabets. I chose phonic song A is for Apple by A.J.Jenkins and made a chart with the picture same as in the song. The chart is pasted on the wall and children easily touch, show and sing. We also sing Ants on the Apple.

The upper and lower case letters are pasted little higher than the child's height as there was no space below. I use the words small and big for lower and uppercase letters.
