Addition practice

Upper kindergarten practiced addition using sticks, blocks and spindles. Each one had a sum card with no answer. They called their teacher to verify their answer. 

Library Bag

I bought two library bags from 19th International book fair 2015 held at Exhibition hall Kathmandu. It has a zipper and is portable.

Each card for this exercise is half the size of A 4  paper and laminated. I used books from different Nepali publications. Except for one odd picture, the rest starts with the letter on the top, 

Hand washing

Besides the usual art and craft our third day at Happy Camp was very interesting. We used a chart paper about hand washing which our volunteers had brought from  ENPHO where they were trained for WASH. The older children read it loud for the young ones. 

After hand washing children peeled boiled potatoes for snack. Volunteer Aunties mixed boiled potatoes with roasted and grinded sesame seeds, salt and squeezed lemon. Children enjoyed potatoes with beaten rice and orange juice.

HOCUS FOCUS

Today at Happy Camp HOCUS FOCUS became a familiar word for finding out six differences in details between panels. HOCUS FOCUS is cut out from the English Newspaper The Himalayan Times.

 Today our School  Facebook status was like this-

Dear Children,
How are you? We hope you all are safe. If you are bored and miss your friends and school come join Happy Camp.

Preschoolers and Primary school children are welcome. Preschoolers must be accompanied by an adult.

It was a fun day and we hope to have few more children, aunties and grandmas tomorrow. We couldn't refuse grandmas who also needed some relief. They talked for a while and later enjoyed afternoon nap under the same tent.

Invitation Cards -Annual Function 2071

Our Fourth Annual Function is just a few days away with our preparations and practice going on full swing. Children are having the best time . We have finished with our invitation cards. Its spring time and our children pasted flowers.

Cherry Blossom 2071

Its spring time and cherry blossom season is in full bloom. We have three cherry trees with bees buzzing around.  

 Children made cherry blossom in different ways. The youngest pasted petals to make cherry flower and wrote the number of flowers they made.
